Phase 3: Collaboration

This time of year can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the multiple demands that are typically part of being a teacher. Remember, everyone has been a first year teacher and can relate to this feeling, It can be overwhelming not only for the brand new teacher but also an experienced teacher new to the district.  It will be important for you to spend time working with your team lead/department chair to ensure you receive the support you need.

Schedule, Job Duties, and Expectations

  • Look into professional development opportunities to continue being lifelong learners.
  • Have a goal setting meeting with your supervisor.

To Do’s

  • Tend to the social and emotional needs of your students and take some time for yourself in October and November.
