Onboarding Guide for New Teachers 

The RRISD Onboarding Guide for New Teachers is composed of seven phases that are designed to support you through your first year in your new role. For those teachers that are not hired at the beginning of the school year, it is important that you review the information contained in the Onboarding Guide for New Teachers and that you also check out our Fast Track program to gain access to information you’ll need to get started.

As a teacher in RRISD, you will be evaluated using the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS). This guide has been aligned with best practices within the T-TESS framework. The T-TESS framework is divided into four domains and each domain is divided into dimensions. RRISD’s Onboarding Framework for New Teachers is built with the T-TESS domains and dimensions in mind.
