Phase 7: Reflection

Typically May and June

Take time to reflect on your role.  You have learned so much over this past year, and it is important to take some time to reflect on your success and contributions.   Reflect on how you can perform at an even higher level, and even though you are tired, model excellence by being fully productive.  Start to think about what changes you want to make to bring both more job satisfaction and greater levels of performance in your role as an Assistant Principal.

Schedule, Job Duties, and Expectations

  • Check in with your Principal and ensure you have been appraised and had a performance review completed.
  • Discuss with your Principal about career development opportunities for the following year.

To Do’s

  • Go through the to-do’s of May, staying on top of your list during this very busy time.
  • Complete these end of the school year tasks in late May and June.
